This masterpiece is a visual representation of the industrial interruption of our Sacred Earth by technology due to the industrialization of America during the 19th and 20th century. This piece pays homage to Leo Marx, author of “Machine in the Garden” who describes this phenomena as “a rustic and in large part wild landscape that was transformed into the site of the world’s most productive industrial machine. It would be difficult to imagine more profound contradictions of value or meaning than those made manifest by this circumstance.”
